The final event for the Havasu Region of the Weekend Warrior Bass Series presented by Anderson Toyota saw 29 teams take off out onto Lake Havasu for what was sure to be a busy day with the annual Desert Storm event taking place as well. Battling the excessive boat traffic and taking the win was the team of Larry Locatis and Austin Rojas. Larry and Austin fished the main lake to bring in a limit of fish weighing 18.56lbs. Their catch for the day earned them $1,600 plus an additional $50 for having the Anderson Toyota/WWBS contingency sticker on their tow vehicle. The win also gave Larry and Austin enough of an edge to overtake the current points leaders to earn their second WWBS AOY title.
Second place and $960 went to the team of Jeff Woods and Dennis Phelps. Jeff and Dennis grabbed the early lead in the event and held on until they were overtaken. Jeff and Dennis also earned an additional $200 for the bringing in the days biggest bass, a 5.71lb largemouth.
Rounding out the top 3 was the team of Jeff Lenard and Eric Cline. Jeff and Eric came in with a limit weighing 17.77lbs anchored by the days second place big fish. The 5.49lb largemouth earned them an additional $100 to bring their total winnings to $820.
The SPRO pack for the smallest 5 fish without any penalties went to the team of Jeff Stevens and Josh Openshaw. Jeff and Josh had a limit weighing just 10.12lbs
This circuit would not be possible without the help of our great sponsors. Anderson Toyota, SPRO, and A&M Graphics.
