Saturday morning saw 51 anglers from around Arizona take on what was a reportedly difficult Apache Lake. The rumors of a tough bite proved to be true with only three 14lb limits being weighed in. Steven Mack and Seth Furmanek took the win and $2,320 by bringing in a limit of fish weighing 14.65lbs. The two reportedly caught there fish fishing the reeds throughout the lake.
Second place and $1,400 went to the team of Paul Mathews and Rich Dewane. Paul and Rich took the early lead in the event with a limit weighing 14.18lbs and held it for most of the weigh in. It wasn’t until Steve and Seth came in that they lost the lead by less than 1/2lb.
Rounding out the top 3 was the last years Anglers of the Year. Dean Kreuzer and Dave Nichols brought in a limit of fish weighing 14.10lbs to take home $1,150. The two also got an additional $50 for being the highest finishing team with the WWBS/Anderson Toyota contingency sticker on their tow vehicle.
This circuit would not be possible without the help of our great sponsors. Anderson Toyota, SPRO, and A&M Graphics.
