Craig McCoy and Al Robinson topped 33 other teams to win the final event for the Weekend Warrior Bass Series presented by Anderson Toyota in dominating fashion. Craig and Al brought in a limit of bass weighing 21.32lbs to take home $1,450. Their catch was anchored by the days big fish. The 5.62lb largemouth earned the team an additional $200. Al and Craig also took home the $50 from Anderson Toyota for being the highest finishing team with the Anderson Toyota/WWBS contingency sticker on their tow vehicle.
Second place went to the team of Larry Locatis and Austin Rojas. Larry and Austin brought in a limit of fish weighing 20.76lbs earning them $1,050. Their catch was also anchored by a 5.33lb largemouth which was the days second biggest bass earning them an additional $100.
This being the final event of the season also determined the Anglers of the Year. Larry and Austin took home that honor after a tough points battle that lasted most of the season between them and the team of Aaron Mansfield and Curtis Hensel. Larry and Austin will receive paid entries into the qualifiers for the 2017-2018 season.
Third place and $640 went to the team of Danny and Troy Locatis. Danny had to fish the day solo and brought in an impressive 19.06lb limit.
The SPRO pack for the smallest 5 fish limit went to the team of Jacob Angel and Tamara Moreno for a limit weighing 9.61lbs. It pays to stick around for the awards…
